Looking for a theme where you land on a static page

  My wordpress site focuses on my graduate research on the Golden Swallows of Hispaniola. The rolling blog is not as important to me as an initial static page that describes the project. I’m wondering if I can modify my theme so as to have viewers initially land on a static page and have the blog be an optional click (along with the other static pages), or perhaps there is a different theme entirely that would allow me to do this….

  Hi Justin. You can use a static page for your home page on any them. Here are the instructions on how to set that up. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
