Looking for a very simple image slider

  I am looking for a very simple image slider – no thumbnails, no superimposed text, no fancy navigation, just the page-width images and small navigation arrows “< >” at the lower right. Just that. I will have my title + menu at the top.

  (uses royal slider plugin which is no longer available)

  There are 1000’s of slider plugins, but after a couple hours checking them out, they all seem to have way too many features. I just need the basics, like the above website.

  This is this wordpress.COM support forum where we provide support only for blogs we host. You have not provided the URL of the site in question. More to the point is the fact that we wordpress.COM hosted bloggers do not have FTP access and cannot install plugins.

  I suspect you are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
