Looking for best way to allow readers to ask questions…
-
I would like to find a way to allow my readers to ask me questions not specifically related to my posts. Such as: When is the best time to harvest bell peppers? etc… I would prefer the questions don’t post unless I authorize them (to prevent spam), but I’d like a running dialog of some form that other people can see – a Q&A thing – but I can’t figure out the best way to accomplish this…
Thanks for your input. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A contact form is a great way to offer your readers the ability to get in touch, without giving out your personal email address

Thanks notawoodpecker – I do have many contact forms on my blog, but they don’t allow other readers to see the thread or invite conversation. I would have to copy the question and post it somewhere else each time. I’m hoping to build a space that my readers can post questions and get answers that others can see…

Just one idea … Maybe you could have a Q&A page? Enable commenting. Set your commenting so that you will moderate all comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#before-a-comment-appearsHave a friend send in the first question and provide an answer so that you kind of set the tone and the format look for the page. [do a private test page first so that you have a good understanding of how deep the nesting can go…]

Thanks, houstonweaver – I was thinking something along that line and you’ve given me a place to start! Thanks
