Looking for help with images on Jaida Theme

This theme has serious issues every time that I resize images so I have learned to avoid that. Unfortunately, even without resizing, I have encountered some frustrating situations. Take a look:

    – Images are tiny: https://educationdesign.blog/2023/07/30/shattering-illusions-and-building-authentic-learning-environments/
    – Image gets distorted on mobile: https://educationdesign.blog/2023/07/30/infographic-the-power-of-neuroarchitecture/

Is there anything that someone like me – with minimal web skills – can do to avoid this? Thank you!

    Hi there!

Sorry to hear that you’re having issues with images on the theme. I’ll be happy to assist you with this. :)

    Images are tiny: https://educationdesign.blog/2023/07/30/shattering-illusions-and-building-authentic-learning-environments/

Can you tell me what happens if you try resizing images in the editor using the points outlined in the following screenshot?

You mentioned you had issues every time you resized images. Can you tell us what those are? You should be able to resize image dimensions after inserting an image using the Image block without any issues.

I also noticed that you’re using a Row block to nest paragraph and image blocks. Did you know that you can insert an Image block and then choose an alignment to left- or right-align it? I’m curious if there’s any particular reason you’re using the Row block instead.

Image gets distorted on mobile: https://educationdesign.blog/2023/07/30/infographic-the-power-of-neuroarchitecture/

I was able to replicate this at first. I’m not sure what caused it, but I changed the aspect ratio and then changed it back to Original, and I think that fixed it. Can you check to see if it’s still distorted on mobile?

    Here’s what I’m referring to:

The Aspect Ratio was set to Custom, which may have had something to do with the issue. Please check now and let me know if it’s solved on your end as well.

    Thanks!

Thank you Thank you! It seems that, in all instance, the aspect ratio was setting to “custom” and then not switching back to “original” unless changed to something else first. Your fix remedied the situation with that post, and then I did the same thing to other images that I have used.

As for the images in rows on the other post – I had not tried simply aligning them left or right (for some reason, I thought I had to use rows). I have now eliminated the rows and they appear to working great.
