  You can use a Google calendar in a page. If you use it in the sidebar, the events will not show on the calendar. The calendar has to be large for the events to show. I also suggest, if you are using a theme that has a “no-sidebar” page template, that you use that as well.

  Plugins cannot be used at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted wordpress sites using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  There is no FTP acces to WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install any plugins. On a WordPress.com blog we can use the Google Calendar. http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-calendar/
