Please help. I’m want to set up a WordPress website that acts as a consultancy which connects suppliers and customers. The focus will be on medical/hospital equipment. For the suppliers side, they should be able to upload images and prices of their products like a regular ecommerce shop. And for the customers, they should be able to view products offered by suppliers and also (here’s the catch) request for specific products and receive quotations. If a customer requests for a specific product, a notification should be sent to all registered suppliers on the site. Then if a supplier has the product, they can submit an offer/quote to the customer. Furthermore customers should be divided into individuals and organizations. Organizations could be hospitals, clinics, etc…with the ability to post a request for a long list of items that are also sent as notifications to suppliers. Basically i will need to earn income myself as a 3rd party who has the knowledge of the suppliers. So maybe through a subscription service to allow suppliers to use my site, or through ads and traffic to my site, or theough a commission on each item sold. Any idea how i can go about this? Any good themes or plugins?

    Hi there!

Are you looking to host your site here, with WordPress.com, or will you be hosting it elsewhere?

You’ll probably want to use WooCommerce on your site. It has many extensions to add functionalities. One you could specifically look into is WooCommerce Subscriptions:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/.

If you’d like to know about other of their extensions, and you’re not finding the correct info on the web, try opening a ticket directly.
If you click the “I have a question about a specific extension or theme I’d like to purchase.” section, there’s another link for “Can’t find an answer? Contact us!”. Clicking that link will bring up a contact form that you can fill out to reach out to WooCommerce support.
