Looking for portal examples

  I am thinking about WP for use as a teacher portal, where teachers login and only see information that was relevant to them. I guess this is also a question about content management. How easy is it to manage groups of users and how easy is it for people to tag content for these groups.

The site runs on the same WordPress software we do here ie. wpMU (wordpress multiuser). However, the site is specifically set up for teachers and students. All edublogs are are advertising free, whereas our blogs here at WordPress.com are not ad-free, unless we buy an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.

  Also note differences between WordPress.COM hosted blogs and WordPress.ORG sites http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
