looking for previous owner

  I started a blog called Ripples In The Dark but noticed that the wordpress name was already taken. I found out that the previous owner deleted the name but instead of paying for a .com account, I would really like to take on the name since it is not being used.

  There is a way to transfer the name but I need to get hold of the previous owner so I can get permission. Since the name was abandonned, it seems a shame to have it not be used by someone else.

  I am sure that once the owner abandonned the name ripplesinthedark.wordpress.com, another name on wordpress was used. I am hoping the owner contacts me and we can get it switched to my username account.
