Looking for the header.php file
-
Hi,
I want to edit my header.php file for the theme that I am using. But unfortunately, I am unable to locate header.php. Where exactly can I find the file? I am a free user of wordpress.com. Is it for the reason that I am not allowed to edit the header.php file?

Hello @theannongirl
On WordPress.COM we do not have access to the underlying PHP files of the theme regardless of which plan you are on.If you want to edit PHP files you might wanna consider using WordPress.ORG-a self hosted platform/software to create blogs, websites and more, with greater customization possibilities.
Find out the differences between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/If you wish to move your blog from WordPress.COM to WordPress.ORG, follow the instructions given here:
https://move.wordpress.com/You can ask for help while creating your site using WordPress.ORG on this support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/. Because, this forum only supports the sites hosted on WordPress.COM.
Hope this helps 🙂
