Looking to make a 'news' website. What is the best theme for me?
-
hey guys. I am looking to set up a website with a clean and simple news-oriented look with news thumbnails/icons all over the page similar to:
http://www.bbc.com/
http://www.theonion.com/It’s also important that I have the functionality of being able to categorise my blog/news posts into the different pages/sections (Local, Entertainment, Politics and so on). What is this functionality called? (so I can spot out for it under the features side column)
The reason I’m highlighting this is because I came here from Wix and they didn’t offered that function.
Willing to buy a premium theme too so suggest away :D

Stop spamming the forum, please. Those themes cannot be used on WordPress.com -

I suggest you look at the Magazine type themes: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/magazine/ You probably won’t get one exactly like those sites, but there are several free and premium themes that might serve your needs. It’s also important that I have the functionality of being able to categorise my blog/news posts into the different pages/sections (Local, Entertainment, Politics and so on). You can create category pages with any theme. That is done via the custom menus feature in the dashboard. Keep in mind that posts on a category page may not display in the magazine/newscolumn style of the front page as Archive, Search and Category pages usually have their own styling that’s different from the main feed.
