Looking to migrate for functionality if possible
-
i currently have a static QR code printed on to packages that cannot be changed. this QR code is pointing to the wrong site due to capital letters in the QR code url that should be lower case. if i migrate to wordpress can i create a page that will either have capitals in the name or make the site pickup the difference and route to the correct page?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi there,
All URLs on WordPress.com are lowercase by default, and there’s no way to force the URL for any page on a site to contain uppercase letters. But if someone were to include uppercase letters when typing a URL for a WordPress.com site, we do automatically redirect it to the lowercase version, so visitors end up on the correct page.
If that’s what you want, then WordPress.com might be a good fit for you. But it would be good if you can share some more details about your current site and what your other needs are for the site, so we can help you figure out if WordPress.com is the best platform for your needs in general before you go to the trouble and expense to migrate.
That said, this isn’t something that depends on whether you’re using the WordPress software or something else. This depends on your server, and the type of operating system running on the server. So you need your server to be running on an operating system that supports uppercase URLs, or you need to have access to the server configuration settings to set up the necessary redirects to redirect traffic from the uppercase to the lowercase version of the URL.
In other words, you don’t need to migrate to a different platform, but rather, you need to contact your hosting provider for help making the required changes to your hosting configuration, or otherwise, if those changes cannot be made at your current host, you need to move to a different host who does support these types of changes on their server infrastructure.
