LOOOOONG! Scroll !
-
Why do I have such a LOOONG scroll on my edit page between end of text to Related posts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
I’m not sure that I totally understand what you are asking. Can you be more specific about the issue?
My apologies if I’m just missing something obvious.

Maybe you don’t use Zemanta…???
I use the browser model the last coupla years…
On Z the Related posts are usually right there at the end of the post…not so the last few days…now it takes a very long scroll down to reach the RPs….verrrry long…. -
WordPress.com no longer has Zemanta integration. So if you are having layout issues using the browser version of Zemanta, you might reach out to their support team.
Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Apparently…this has nothing to do with Zemanta as I thought…problem is that when on the edit page, I now find that I must scroll way down to the bottom of the page, after completing the post, in order to click the publish button, etc….long white space to get there…this just started happening lately…constant…
Thank you for your assist!

We’re looking into this issue and trying to track down the source.
In the meantime, my apologies for the hassle.

This is from another report and is a good test. It may fix the issue and if not, it is useful data for us:
“Several users have reported that the post editor is resizing to be too long for the screen, and that seems like a possible culprit here as well. Can you tell me whether your editors are able to resize the box and, if so, whether the setting persists?”
-
No, making the scree smaller does not change the problem…appreciate your attention…

Okay, a couple things to try. Can you clear your browser’s cache and then try the resizing thing again?
-
-
Okay, here is a note from one of the developers:
The size can be reset by dragging the “resize handle” in the lower right corner of the editor, but since the height is stored in the user settings, the person doing that would have to be logged as the user. Instead of dragging, the following JS can be run from the browser console when on the Edit Post screen:
1setUserSetting( ‘ed_size’, 200 );
and then reload the page. This should make the editor 200px tall.

Aha!
That seems to have worked!Didn’t close the space up altogether, but I think that’s where Zemanta’s Related Articles now fit in when used…Z recently repositioned Related Posts…
Also, I use FireFox and things look different on different browsers, but I managed to drag.n.drop ok.
Another thing…Firefox recently had an issue where the Edit/View/Etc. buttons disappeared…
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-happened-to-the-file-edit-and-view-menus
…So all these things together plus my general cyber-ineptness made for the mix-up, I think.
My thanx for sticking with me on this…much appreciated!
