Lose access to wordpress

I could not gain access to my wordpress as the system said the password was incorrect. However, I could not receive any email from my admin email when I pressed “forgot password”.

I could not use other ways to proof my ownership as i paid for an agency to help me purchase the wordpress domain. Yet, i could no longer contact the irresponsible agency. The only way I can do to login to my wordpress is to receive the restore password email in my admin email. Can anyone help me solve this problem?🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

What is the URL of your site?

🙏🏼 But my website was deactivated by the agent. Will it help if I give you the URL?

    Hi there,

I do not see any sites under your @myairjob WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look and see what we can find about it.

Hello, thank you so much for replying!

The site I lose access to is under @airjob and the URL is airjob.org

As I’ve lost access to it, I created this new account.

    Hi there,

The site airjob.org appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on GoDaddy Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.

    You can confirm here: https://gwhois.org/airjob.org+dns

To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and GoDaddy also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.

However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through the GoDaddy, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.

Hope that points you in the right direction!

Thank you so much for your generous help! 😭
This really helps show me a clearer picture and a direction to work towards. Thanks!
