Losing dashboard controls, stats, top posts, etc

  Is anyone else suffering an outage of services? All I’m seeing in the blue bar at the top of my screen at the moment is “My Account”. No “Dashboard”, no “New post”, no “Blog This”, etc. Also, when I look at my blog (http://wolfieb.wordpress.com) my list of top posts just says “None”, when a couple of minutes ago it was showing the five top posts as it should.

  I realise this could just be my machine – I’m about to re-start it – but I haven’t loaded any new software or anything that would cause such an issue. Anyone else having a similar problem? Is it a WordPress issue?

  I’m not seeing it but with all their datacenters, something my be affecting the one you’re on.

  I’d clear out your DNS cache as well along with the files and cookies and whatnot. If you’re on a PC, open up a command prompt and type the following:

  ipconfig /flushdns

  and see if that helps,

  There is some weirdness on the WordPress end of things. The Most Recently Updated blogs on my Dashboard haven’t changed in a couple of hours.

  Sorry for leaving such a terse message. Anyway, I may have found my particular problem (and solution) which seems to be specific to the use of ZoneAlarm as my security software. (BTW I also use Firefox 2.0.0.4).

  I had earlier changed a security setting, and when I un-changed it my toolbar on top of the blog came back. Specifically, I changed the “cookie control” setting from “off” to “medium”. Once I turned it off again things started working.

  My copsncrooks dashboard stats is stuck on zero ever since 8:00 a few hours ago! What is going on here?

  We don’t know. Staff is doing something. You can send a feedback to let them know specifically what is messing up on your end. Did you not report this yesterday already?

  I realize this appears to have been resolved, but I seem to be having the same problem as the original poster.

  When I log in, all I can get to is the “global dashboard,” and it keeps telling me that I am not a member of this blog (http://amongfriendsonline.wordpress.com)…I am the administrator of this blog, and can’t seem to make any changes, edits, or posts…
  Any ideas or help? Thanks!!

  First, do what Dr. Mike suggested in his first post in this thread. If that doesn’t fix it, send an email to support at wordpress dot com. Looks like you need a staff fix.
