losing drafts into the ether

can someone give me some advice before i throw my computer out the window. i’ve drafted my travel blog several times and on several occasions when i press save draft the whole draft gets cleared/deleted and i’m left with a blank screen. the last version can’t even be found in the trash bin. i thought it was happening because i was switiching between web pages while my draft was saving down. So on the last time i was saving i stayed on the draft page, but the same thing happened. disappeared. I’ve just finished the 8th time of uploading my draft from the last decent saved version pressed ‘ save’ and the whole thing has disappeared again. what am i doing wrong? is it because i’m doing this from wireless connection and not LAN? help! i’m beyond exasperated.
    Many thanks

LOTS of people are reporting this, and have been reporting it for weeks. I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, but to prevent it from happening again, please use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk or Windows Live Writer which automatically saves a copy of everything.

The other way to keep this from happening is to put in a title, a couple words of text and then set the post to “private” under “visibility” in the publish module and then publish it. Finish the post and when you are ready to take it live, set it back to public and click “update.”
