Losing YouTube Videos During Import from Blogger

I am in the process of trying to import my blog from Blogger to WordPress. I used the importer provided, and all the content I had written transferred, but I lost the majority of the YouTube videos that were in the posts. When adding these videos to my posts, I didn’t use an embed code; I used the feature with blogger that allowed me to add a video from YouTube, just like the feature I noticed WordPress offers. I assume that it was because of this method of adding the videos that they did not transfer. My questions is, is there a way in which I can import to WordPress and keep the videos in tact, too? I have provided the HTML code from one of my blogger posts in hopes you might get a better idea of what’s happening that way. I’m currently in the process of removing the imported posts to start again after receiving a response.

    Thanks,
    Adam

I’m not a huge fan of this style of music, top-40-radio-dance-club hits. My roommate on the other hand can’t seem to get enough of this song, and since it currently sits in the top 10 on the Hot 100 list, I’m sure there are plenty of other people that feel the same way. I do have to admit, though, there is more to like about this song than a lot of other similar club anthems. </div>

First, I don’t know much about Pitbull, but he doesn’t dress like a thug like a lot of other rappers and isn’t lazy with his rhymes. When he’s rapping, it’s uptempo and pushes the song. He’s not the only person that stands out a bit in the video. The rumor about the his counterpart is that she’s a huge history nerd, and Ke$ha’s entire persona is just a character she portrays. While that’s true of all celebrities to some extent, I think, with the rare handful of exceptions, she’s apparently a closet nerd, sneaking into history lectures for fun. Beyond the stars of the song, the clever lyrics, and catchy melody, you also have to take into consideration the starring role of the harmonica. Everybody loves a good harmonica. </div>

It looks like Blogger has created code to embed the video, and WordPress.com is stripping that code, which is incompatible with our sites. You will need to add the links back for the videos from YouTube if you want them to display on your WordPress.com site.

For a bit more information, see our documentation on code:
