Loss of access to shared WordPress site

  I volunteer on the committee of a library association, and we have lost editor access to our WordPress site https://abtapl.wordpress.com/ as the editor has forgotten the login details, but also moved job, meaning that the email required to reset the password no longer exists. How can we regain editing rights?

  Without access to the email address, the account recovery form will be the only way forward from here:

  Recover Your Account

  For security reasons, we can only accept the proof of ownership information listed there.

  If you haven’t done so already, it could be worth asking the previous editor to see whether it would be be possible reactivate the email address. If they are able to do that and login, they could transfer ownership of the site to another WordPress.com account — but this is something they need to do through their account.
