Loss of followers suddenly
-
Overnight Friday night my followers shown on my blog seems to have gone from 6,757 down to 4,586 and I don’t know how or why. Can anyone explain this and will they come back? I’ve done nothing different on my blog to warrant such a loss of followers. Any explanation would be great. I’ve spent 5 years building a following. Thanks.

Timethief, thanks so much for this. I shall have a go at it and let you know how I get on. As far as I am aware I didn’t change a thing. Appreciated.

Hi there,
The problem is your Facebook followers – Facebook made a change to their system this week which impacts how we can get that information from them to display on your site. It’s already been fixed on our end, but it might not update automatically on all sites. Reconnecting Facebook fixes it, but I forced a refresh for your site on our end, so you don’t need to do that.
