Loss of image brightness/contrast when uploading to WordPress
-
I’ve been having issues with the image becoming significantly darker when uploaded to wordpress. I’ve tried changing the color settings to North American Web/Internet, and the color management policies to ‘convert to working RGB’, and have not been having any luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
If you have tried all you have mentioned above related to converting the images to sRGB etc, then it is highly likely that you might be seeing the cashed copy of images that were already uploaded before changing. One more thing that you can try out is:
Try saving the images converted to sRGB with a different name than the one that you have uploaded previously on WordPress and then upload the new image and use that in your posts.
Let me know if this works for you.
Best

Hey Sunil,
Thanks for the reply – I unfortunately have the same results even if I change the image name.

Hi there, I see by this post https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/loss-of-image-brightness-contrast-when-uploading-to-wordpress-2/#post-3265032 that you still need help on this topic
Could you please link to a post where you’ve uploaded a photo and there is a noticeable difference and then also upload that exact same image file to a file sharing service like dropbox, google drive, etc and post the link here so we can compare image? Thanks.
