lost 2-column display in page editing
-
I can not return to 2-column display on the page editing page. I cannot drap and drop to the right: tags, categories, etc. And a column display option is not available under the pull down display.

This can only be done when editing or creating a new post. Can you please try clearing out your cache?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

Cleared cache, am using Firefox, and still can not edit to two-column display for page editing when editing or creating a new post. Any other suggestions?

I’m unable to see the problem you’re referring to. I see a two-column display on the editing screen, and the drop-down Screen Options tab still shows the options for number of columns.
I also can’t reproduce any problem with dragging elements.
Are you perhaps referring to the sidebar on the left? You can expand this by clicking the arrow button at the bottom.

Ah, I saw the issue. It has to do with the size of your browser window.
This is part of some upcoming responsive design changes to the Dashboard in WordPress 3.4. When the window size is less than optimal width for a decent-sized post editor with sidebar (1024px specifically), it will switch to one column.

Ah-ha, yes. The two-column display in the page editing screen returned immediately upon reducing the screen view. Thanks!
