  I recently turned up a Lightsail account on aws with wordpress. I need a single web page to support a recently published book. Once in the dashboard I am totally lost as to how to navigate the editing capabilities. I tried applying a template that looks like it would suit my needs but it is clear as mud to me how I use the template with my content- I see there are widgets and blocks one can create but I’m very confused as to how it works. I signed up for a webinar but I think the need here is so simple that if someone knowledgeable could just spend 30 mins with me I am sure I can pick up on what I need to do to succeed. I’ve read dozens of pages about configuring word press but for me it would sure be helpful for someone with WP knowledge to walk me through the dashboard and help me understand tools and options.

  Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with AWS.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
