Lost ability to edit pages with 3.9.2

    Since upgrading to 3.9.2 when I go to edit an existing page it will not let me revert to draft, nor can I select public/private visibility. The link appears at the bottom of my page as normal but as soon as I release the mouse button it disappears and remains on the page. Which means that the page is still in publish instead of draft. Quick Edit does not work from all pages list.

    Is there a cure for this or is there a way I can go back to a version of WordPress that works please. I am stuck editing my website until this is restored.

    Thanks Francisbob for taking time out to help there. I had realised as soon as I posted but as you can tell from the photo (taken a while ago of course to keep me young) my old brain is a bit in a fog these days. :-)
