Lost access to a differnt account

  I lost access to my main account. I am using this one as a backup.

  The account has 2fa enabled and I lost access to that 2fa device. The phone number linked to the account is outdated and I also don’t have access to it.

  I have tried the account recovery tool but since I don’t host anything with wordpress.com it won’t let me recover the account.

  The account is used to enable Jetpack on my self hosted site.

  I would be fine having the account deleted so I can recreate it. I just need access to it.

  I can provide auth links, the current recovery phone number, and information about the linked website.

  Please do not create duplicate threads. I’ve removed your other posts and will reply to you here.

  The only way to get back into your WordPress.com account is by using a Backup Code.

  To use a backup code, fill in your login details like you normally would. When asked about the login code enter the backup code instead. Remember: backup codes are only valid for one time each so be careful when using them.

  If you still have trouble, please reach out to Jetpack support for guidance and ask them if there’s a way to disable that feature and allow you to log back into your site.
