Lost Access to Account

    I have attempted to transfer a site to its rightful owner (currently an editor on the site) but it seems to be lost in the ether–I can no longer access the backend at all. I have no idea where to begin. WP will not allow me to recover the account and the new owner never received the transfer email. Since they are not an admin, they can’t claim the site. We can’t get any help from customer support either, so looking here in the hope that someone might have a simple fix. Please help!
