Lost access to an account – account recovery not working

  Asking for a friend who cannot login to ask since she is trying to recover a site for a non-profit organization, and the account recovery page is not working in this case.

  My friend set up the site and has the original login information, and the activation code. However management of the blog passed to a staff member who changed the login information and then left the organization without passing on the new login information.

  So the only information available is the current website URL and the original activation code

  The recovery instructions indicate that the activation code should be sufficient, along with other background information. But clicking submit doesn’t work. Is there an email address that the information can be sent to instead?
