Lost access to blog. How can we delete it?

  Hello,

  Our non-profit (Pigtown Main Street) used to host a blog at PigtownMainStreet.wordpress.com about 2 years ago. During a changing of the Board and replacement of the Executive Director, many of our files were lost.

  We’re presently redesigning a new WordPress blog on our own servers, and have our own website at PigtownMainStreet.org … but, unfortunately, when we’re Googled, the old PigtownMainStreet.wordpress.com site comes up, confusing people.

  We have no way of accessing this blog. We don’t have the Username/Password combo, we don’t have the email address that was used to set it up.

  Please, notice that it has not been used in well over a year. We just want it gone so that it no longer confuses people and so we can begin directing them over to the new blog when it’s up on our own server.

  I can’t seem to find a way to contact anyone at WordPress and ask for this to be deleted.

  How can we get rid of this blog?

  You will need to contact support: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  I think they are out brain storming until the first of next week. You will have a bit of a tough road as everything here lives and dies on the email that the account and blog was set up under. So be prepared to prove you speak for the blog.

  Thanks! Proof shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll have the Exec. Director contact them, utilizing the email from the PigtownMainStreet.org domain, and he’ll be able to provide any proof they need.

  Thanks for the assist. I looked all over for a contact link and couldn’t find one. Don’t know how I missed it.
