Lost access to domain
-
I’ve accidently deleted my domain from my account, how can I get this back?
-
Hi there,
Are you referring to beckyannebakes.com? If so, a refund has already been processed for that purchase. To get this domain back, you have a few options, depending on what you’d like to do.
If you’d like to keep using the domain with your WordPress.com site, go ahead and re-purchase the desired plan (do not register a new domain) and let us know here, we’ll reattach the canceled domain to your site.
If you’d like to use the domain with another site hosted elsewhere, you can either wait 5 days until the domain is released and register it directly with the new registrar or, recover the domain, point it to another host and transfer it after 60 days. That last option would require paying the registration fee again so, let us know and we’ll email you the invoice.

Hi, the domain has gone into redemption since we last interacted. We’ll need to send a manual payment request for the domain at this point and then work with the registrar to get it back.
I’ve just sent an invoice. Can you pay that as soon as possible, then update us here? We’ll need to work quickly.

All paid thanks. So you’ll try to recover the cost as the plan I paid for includes a free domain?
-
@beckyrobinson1321 the plan includes a domain free for the first year. It doesn’t cover the cost of an existing domain, or one that has gone into redemption.

The domain is restored to the site here on our servers. Did you have it pointed elsewhere?
If so, you won’t need the plan, only the domain itself (which you’ll want to set to auto-renew if possible.) We can refund the plan if you won’t be using it.
You’ll just want to update the domain to point to the correct host, then update us here.
