Lost access to my domain
-
Dear all,
It sounds pathetic, and truly is. I switched to Mac last year, suffered from grave illness (not Mac related, mind you) and lost track of my blog. Well, to summarise, I changed my Internet Service Provider and being a security nerd, I changed my passwords, too. The problem is that all the passwords I tried don’t work, and more gravely yet, I presume that wordpress sent an email with a temporary password to my old deleted email account at blog.ihsd at orange.fr
Meanwhile I could not get in touch with the support, which is temporarily closed. No response from automatic.com, either. I left a message on their answering machine, but no luck.
The problem is that the domain is registered to my name, http://fredericerk.com and even if I would like to start over from scratch, there is little I can do to use that domain, which was sold by wordpress.com.
Any ideas, or am I truly lost in the information age as someone from IT Crowd would suggest.
Best regards to you all,
Frederic.

Hello Isadora,
Thank you for your help. But why on earth don’t they accept incoming mails 24/7? This is a terrible thing for users not living on Pacific Time. Or is it just that, “Pacific Time”, in the sense of Big Lebowski having a meeting for a new job? (Cynical).
I will try to do that.
Best regards,
Frederic

They accept incoming emails. They just don’t have official office hours with full staff at certain times.

Do you actually mean you wrote a email to the address I gave you in my answer and you received a response saying that mails are not read outside the official support time??
(By the way, if you live in France, 6 o’ clock in the afternoon is not such an impossible time, is it? I’m answering from Germany, and, as I wrote in my answer, at that time support was open.)
