Lost access to my second account
-
Every couple of years I try to regain access to my other WordPress account.
It recognises no email I have ever used.
It’s not a password problem.
The account I used is called
architectureinberlin.wordpress.comIt is not linked to the one I’m posting from here (jimhudson2014, betavilleblurb)
Please don’t reply if you’re going to suggest using a different email address. I have only had two in the past 20 years, and the ‘lost’ account responds to neither of them.
I keep getting comments (inexplicably sent to my current email address) to moderate comments.
If you understand how this glitch might work, please do reply!
Many thanks
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To correct the line WordPress added at the bottom
betavilleblurb.wordpress.com is NOT the blog I need help with, obviously.
Thanks

It looks like the account attached to that site architectureinberlin is https://architectureinberlin.wordpress.com/author/jimnkatie/
Did you try sending yourself a log-in by email link from the WordPress.com log-in page? IMPORTANT: You’ll need to first log out of this account (jimhudson2014) before doing that.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for replying.
I tried that, and it sends an email to my other email account. However, the link it sends opens up an empty WordPress account (no sites, no activity) called HudsonsCakes (something my wife used to run from the same email account). No sign of my architectureinberlin site.
Any other thoughts? It seems to be an actual fault, does WordPress have any employees who might be able to help that you know of?
I’ve copied all the content and am happy to set up elsewhere (Blogspot?) but would still need to close this one down to avoid confusion.
Thanks, Jim

The email address is the unique identifier on the wordpress.com platform, so 2 wordpress.com accounts can’t have the same email address.
Completely log out from current jimhudson2014 and log in with the username (not an email address!!) jimnkatie, this definitely brings you to your site architectureinberlin.wordpress.com

Adding one other thing here. If you are able to log in to the jimnkatie account, after you are logged in, go to the Global Dashboard. My Blogs ‹ WordPress
It might be that when you log in to jimnkatie, you are immediately taken to the primary website associated with that account. The Global Dashboard lists all sites under that same account. If you see it in the Global Dashboard, you can make architectureinberlin the primary website in your account settings.

Sorry, pasted the incorrect link for the Global Dashboard.
You want to see ALL sites, not just the visible sites.
