Lost access to my WordPress dashboard.

  Hello ,

  I have and have had a website hosted by Bluehost but run through a WordPress dashboard. I changed my site title and site URL without thinking because I haven’t mapped the other URL domain to wordpress before doing this. Now I have lost access to the dashboard and am unable to change my settings back.

  Please let me know what actions I need to go threw to get my site back up and running.

  This will help you to gain access.

  Once you are through with you account, you can make the decision to transfer the domain over:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
  you can also map an existing domain:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
  Or else you can try creating a new one:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

  Hello,

  Thank you for your reply. I think I explained my situation poorly. I have access to my WordPress account.

  I do not have access to my website dashboard. and if I go into “my sites” in my WordPress account it says that I do not have any. Though I do and it did say I did before this mistake I made.

  How can I change my root domain back to its original without the website dashboard?

  Is there a way through the hosting Cpanel or database?

  Hi there!

  I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost and connected to the WordPress.com account via Jetpack.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
