  I made an account but used an incorrect email and the username I chose isn’t working. I need the site with the specific URL for a uni assignment. I have the password and I can find the page for the unlatched site using the URL however I can’t access the account at all. Is there a way to fix this?

  If you are talking about a wordpress.com account, just follow instructions at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  I tried that, but because of internet connectivity issues, I didn’t receive any of the information I would need to prove the account is mine

  If you can login with the incorrect username/email and password, then you would be able to use that account and site address. Without being able to login or give proof of ownership, I suggest creating a site with a different address in this account.
