lost all my tags

I’ve not used my account for a long while, maybe a year or so. I’m writing again on my blog but I just noticed that all of the tags for all of my previous posts have all been removed. Is there any way for me to get the tags for my posts back without me having to go through manually, reread posts and type new tags?
I read somebody else have this issue, and was related to an upgrade of their theme? Not sure.

Hi, thanks for your response! Yes, I wrote my latest post just 2 days ago and wrote the tags then. But that’s when I noticed that all of my previous 25(?) posts no longer have any tags. But I remember that I did tag each of them at the time of writing. I’m curious as to why now there are none.

I mean, is it policy for tags to be removed after a certain period of time/inactivity? Or are tags supposedly everlasting?
If all else fails, I can go through everything and retag.

Tags should not be removed. When you Edit those posts, do the tags show up on the Edit page?

That’s not good. I see the categories are showing on http://iorinounari.wordpress.com/2011/05/30/one-moment/ but not the tags. I think we need to refer this to staff, so I will flag the thread for their attention.

I don’t see any evidence that you had created tags in the past or that they were deleted.
You can go back and add tags to your posts now relatively quickly by going to your list of posts, hovering over the title, and clicking on the link “Quick Edit”, which will bring up a box where you can add tags right there without having to go to the Post Editor each time.

Thanks very much for your assistance! When I get a spare moment I’ll go through and add some tags again as you suggest. I did definitely add tags originally though and somehow without me doing anything they’ve managed to disappear. So hopefully the problem won’t repeat.
