lost all passwords – designer moved – so need to take on site myself

  Hi there
  My designer has moved away and I am without passwords to get into my site. How can I get help with this? Katherine

  See the details on this page for steps on how to recover your account: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  If you have access to the email the site was set up with, you can simply use the “Password Reset Process” section. If you don’t and are unable to get the information from the designer, you can use the “Account Recovery Form” section. Note you will need to be able to prove site ownership in some way.

  Is using an old version of WordPress.ORG software and should be updated soon for security reasons

  Try contacting your host also – you will probably need to work with your host (you are not hosted on WordPress.COM) and get help from the WordPress.ORG folks –

  You be welcome – I do a lot of double checking and in this case they have some other things to do – pointed them to their host as they will need to work with the database I think – used to be real bad maybe they have things easier now
