Lost all widgets and content on website

    Hi,

I tried to modify the copyright section in the footer of my website in the function.php file, which led to an blank error page. As I thought I had lost access to my website because of that, I replaced the functions.php file with the original, thinking everything would come back the same and it would simply erase my changes. But now, dear God, the website is empty, only showing the menu bar. No more widgets, no more logo no more anything. I’m really scared.

The widget section has also disappeared from the customize bar… I have no idea what to do… Could you please tell me how to get everything back?

    Thanks!

By the way, the website I need help with is not the one mentioned at the end of my message, but another one I’m working on with a local server.

I am having a similar issue. I was thinking that I could just re add the footer contents if I could find the text. Sounds like that is what you tried?

Sorry but you are in the wrong place. These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
    http://wordpress.org/support/

If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

    Cheers.
