lost an old wordpress blog

Hi
I used wordpress in 2012 and wrote several blogs. Then I tried logging in in 2016 and wordpress didnt recognize my email address or show that it had any record of my activity. I had to make a new account. Is there any way I can get my blogs back?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have forgotten what I called that website. I think it was my name (dont want to give that out on this public forum). I have an old “reset password” email from WordPress that mentions my username. I have tried that and clicked on forgotten password but it just updates my current blog password (registered under same email address).

I would try logging in to the old account in a different browser (quick way to test if it is cache) or just go ahead and clear your cache clear your cache and cookies.
Then try logging in again with your old account.Ultimately, Account Recovery is all we have, really. Details in that link above.
If none of that helps, I would try to track down the URLs of your sites. Ask friends/family who may have followed them, do Google searches of the topics you are on, look through old emails. If you have the old account name (and it is the correct one for your sites), a staff member can see what is connected to it.
