Lost API key

  I can’t find my API key. I stupidly must have deleted the email that contained it and it does not appear in my dashboard in my profile. Is there a way to get a new one? I’d like to activate Akismet, so I need it.

  I screwed some things up in MySQL and when I got back in to WP it automatically reinstalled itself wiping out a lot of stuff. I too need to find my existing or get a new API key.

  http://wordpress.com/profile dosen’t not show the API key. IT wants you to change your password.

  Not the answer to finding out what my existing API key is.

  I guess I’ll try FEEDBACK

  At the top of the forum page, while logged in, you will see a blue bar (above the wordpress banner). At the left end of the blue bar is a menu called “my account”. Click on that and select “edit profile”. That will take you to your user account profile page (which is different from clicking “view my profile” on the right end of the blue wordpress.com bar at the top of the forum). At the top right, you will see:

  “Your WordPress.com API key is: [this will be your API key]. Don’t share your API key, it’s like a password.”
