Lost Author

Recently one of the users, Greg, for our blog, leadstrategic.com, transferred control of the domain to me, Scott. After doing so, Greg no longer shows up as a user in the system and the authorship of his articles have reverted to me.
How do we correct this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Scott,
When someone transfers ownership of a blog from one WordPress.com user to another, the original owner is automatically removed from the blog. You can add Greg back to your blog by inviting him as an administrator or user on the blog. Then, you can edit the authorship of the articles he wrote so he shows up as the author again.

That’s very disappointing. We have to restore authorship on hundreds of articles.
The process of transferring domain control should not REMOVE an author from the system. These actions should not be linked in this way.

Hi Scott,
Sorry for the disappointment. We include a warning message with those details before completing the transfer, to try to avoid confusion. (If you need to transfer domain ownership without removing the previous owner from the site, staff can help with that.)
To restore Greg’s authorship on those posts, you can bulk edit the posts in question to change many at once. If you let me know which posts need to be updated, I can also help with that step.

Since it was Greg who transferred the control, I guess he’s the one who missed the warning. So I can’t speak to that.
Thanks for pointing out the bulk edit option. That will help. I’ll give it a shot and ask for help if needed.
Please confirm these are my steps to take:
- Add Greg as an administrator (we want him to have editing and maintenance ability)
- Identify and select the articles he authored
- Use the bulk edit feature to change authorship
