Lost blog post

I’m contacting you in regards to the blog http://louelliesblog.wordpress.com/
This is my mother’s blog and she just finished writing a long post titled “3 Possibilities!” She clicked Publish, the page disappeared, and no sign of it can be found on her dashboard. Can you tell me if it’s lost, and what can be done to prevent this in the future. Thank you for your time!

Try looking under Dashboard->Posts and seeing if it’s in the Trash file. Also check Revisions http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/

I think I finally figured out what happened. My mom wasn’t signed into her account. She has a direct link to her Compose page (that I bookmarked for her to make things easier) that she clicked, thus bringing up a window for her to write in even though she’s logged out.
That explains why it didn’t save her writing in any history, and why it says she did no work at all that day.
I did a test, and if you’re writing in a compose page while you’re signed out, then hit “Publish” it just disappears, and can’t be found anywhere.
Do you suppose it’s saved anywhere when that happens?
I know it’s a long LONG shot. -

Hello! I just finished typing an entire post entitled “Appreciation,” and my last step was to upload an image. It was taking a really long time to upload, so I went to the URL and clicked the refresh arrow (I have a MacBook). Everything disappeared. Cannot find the post even in trash. Definitely not in my drafts. Hit back arrow, but to no avail. Can you please help me find this? I am trying to save my marriage, and this post was a huge part of that… :'(

I’m afraid I have no good news for you. You’ve seen this? http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
If it’s not in Drafts, Trash, Revisions, anywhere, you are probably out of luck.
I have begun recommending an offline blog editor like Windows Live Writer so people writing long posts don’t lose them.
