Hi there, I just wrote a long blog post and my photos weren’t uploading so I went to click save draft so i could refresh the page. It said error when I clicked save draft so I copied the whole text as a back up then restarted my computer. I have now lost the whole blog post and there is no draft, and when i go to paste the post in there is nothing there. This is super annoying as it as a very long post!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Before you do anything else, go to https://wordpress.com/post with the same browser and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover it.

If a restore button does not appear when you start a new post, you can try checking for saved drafts at these locations:
    https://wordpress.com/posts/drafts
    https://wordpress.com/pages/drafts

Since you restarted your computer, that may have caused the local storage backup version of the post to also be deleted. If that’s what happened, then you may have lost the post in this case and I am very sorry about that! I know it won’t help in this specific case, however, there is a team working on some update that will improve autosaves for draft posts as we speak so hopefully this problem will not happen again once those changes are made live.
