Lost connection to site

    Hello, I have changed my name servers on my hosting site to another provider but then of course lost connection with my site and now changing them back I cannot seem view my old site / login to the admin panel. To reconnect to WordPress, is all I need to do is change the Name servers? Will that reconnect the site?

    Hi there,

    Your site isn’t hosted here on WordPress.com, but built with the open source WordPress software made on WordPress.org.

    Most likely changing your name servers from your old host to the new, also severed a connection from your old hosting provider’s servers. If that’s the case, you’ll likely also need to reconnect the domain to your site from your old host’s control panel, so please contact that hosting provider directly for help with this.

    Your site also has a connection to WordPress.com, but that’s a connection through the Jetpack plugin and have nothing to do with your domain or DNS. As long as your site is accessible online, that connection will work.
