lost contact with developer and need to get into admin to update

    I had the site designed by a developer a couple years ago and have lost contact with him and need to sign on to update and make changes, but have no idea how. chicocore@gmail is the email address and chicocore.com is the site

    Hi there!

    To clarify, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    We have no access or ability to affect your site, so there’s not much we can do here.

    If you control the hosting account for your site, you could contact them and they should be able to help you regain access to your site. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.

    Otherwise, you may need to track down the developer who created your site for help.
