Lost content.

I have just written about 1000 words for my first blog. When I pressed ‘preview’ it asked if I was sure. When I said no it returned me back to a blank page. Autosave seems only to have saved one line of content.
Help

Oh no! That sounds like very bad news.
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
Never create a lengthy draft without frequently saving it.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -
The only two revisions were the initial Title and the first line. The auto saver doesn’t seem to have picked up anything in the last two hours.
I can’t find the trash folder. -
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > (Trash) http://whyhownext.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post
If you cannot locate it in Trash and recover it then I’m sorry to say it’s gone forever.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. The autosave function does not always work well when you create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ That’s why I never create posts there at all. I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

I was on the dashboard, never mind. Maybe in future I will use a word doc and paste and edit in the dashboard when all content is finalized.
