Lost content & pictures not loading

I tried adding pictures to my blog and they weren’t showing up. Now, I just hit the save button and lost everything I’d just added.

A couple weeks ago I was having trouble with pictures and it was suggested I use Chrome vs Explorer. That’s what I was using today. Now I seem to be having even more trouble.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there.

From your last thread, I can see that you were using your iPad to publish posts. Is this still the case? If so, can I double check that you’re using the latest version of the WordPress iOS app to add media:

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wordpress/id335703880?mt=8

If you’re using your iPad, the app is the most reliable platform for publishing to WordPress.com over the browser.

Yes, I always use my iPad and how do you check to see if I’m using the latest version of the WordPress iOS app?

The latest version of the app is 5.0. If you’re on your iPad, you can visit the following page to View in iTunes and see if you’re prompted to update:

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wordpress/id335703880?mt=8

Whoa! I didn’t know there was a WordPress app! I have been going through Internet Explorer or Chrome. I’ve now downloaded the app so hopefully my troubles will end. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Just finished posting a blog from the iOS app. It worked beautifully. Is there a way to do a slideshow gallery on the app.? Thanks again. My frustrations are alleviated and joy in posting has returned.

Is there a way to do a slideshow gallery on the app.?

It’s a little tricky to create slideshow galleries in the app at the moment, but it can be done with the following steps:

    * Firstly upload the photos you wish to be a part of the slideshow to your post.
    * Once your photos have been attached to your post, save it as a draft.
    * Edit your draft and remove all the code for your images from the content area.
    * Finally, add the gallery shortcode to the content area. This should automatically pull in all images that are attached to a post:

    [gallery type="slideshow"]

Our team are aware that the process of creating galleries in-app needs simplifying and, if you’d like, you can follow along with the open issue on GitHub:

Thanks again. My frustrations are alleviated and joy in posting has returned.

I’m so glad that you like the app! :)
