Lost Digg Share Button
-
A few weeks ago, my Digg share button went missing. The one readers can use to share your content.
Everyone else is present; Twitter, Facebook, Print etc. It is not hiding behind an inclusive “share” button. I’m really stumped!
Somewhere, I saw code you could add to your site that would add a button. But, I don’t know what the code was or where to add it.
I do have the CSS upgrade but specific guidance, much hand holding and lots of encouragement would be appreciated, if this is the best solution :)
My blog is mydailyminefield.com and I use Fresh and Clean theme.
Any and all help is appreciated!

You win the internets today because while it’s listed here http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/ it’s definitely MIA from the Sharing Options in the Settings Dashboard!
Tagged for Staff input. Please be patient while waiting for their reply.

Hi there,
Whoops! Thanks for pointing this out! We removed the sharing button via Digg because their API has been discontinued. In short, they no longer accept sharing via third-parties, so we removed the button so that it didn’t look like things were broken on our end.
I’ll get that support page updated as soon as possible to reduce confusion.
Thanks again!

Hi amightywp,
No problem! I’m just glad I didn’t do something myself to destroy the code and lose it for an eternity! Thanks for answering me :)
Take care!

I know the doc hadn’t been updated yet. We’ve been incredibly incredibly busy over here for the last couple of weeks. I went ahead and took care of that, since it is a priority for you.
Hope you have a great week!
