lost draft

I wrote last week about the draft on fig trees, which was LOST. If I’m paying to own my content, I expect my content to stay in the ‘saved draft’ file. Will you please get it back???!

The account you are contacting us from doesn’t own any WordPress.com sites, which suggests you may have a second account. Can you send a link to the site where you wrote the draft post?
You mentioned paying — if you purchased an upgrade through WordPress.com, could you try logging out and then log back in using the email address your purchase receipt was sent to?
Just let me know about the site address and we can go from there.

I really hope you can help. I’m not tech savvy , so I need “simple language”. This has happened on my blog several times over the last year. I always click “saved draft”, not “trash”.
Last week, I figured out how to adjust the settings in one of the plug-ins so I can hold onto more revisions, which has helped with that problem. But, imagine my surprise when there was no draft of the fig tree post when I wanted to continue writing!
Also, how can drafts be saved for a longer period of time? Or indefinitely, and cleared when I want to clear them?
I’m using an old computer; Word doesn’t work, and I’m not sure if there’s anywhere else I can store information. There’s only this one blog and the email address attached to it.

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
