Lost Draft – Can it be retrieved?

My husband Rob (who is graycourt.wordpress.com) wrote for a couple of hours today on our kitchen iMac, updating a blogpost he had in draft for two days. He repeatedly saved the draft, and then went to preview it. In preview mode, I (the editor) clicked on the “Edit” button, and was taken directly to a previous version from days ago. The updates were gone, and although the pictures were gone, they were somehow still saved in the Gallery. Is there any way to bring back the post that was saved in Draft? We have looked everywhere, and there was never another tab in his browser, to indicate there was another version onscreen. Perhaps adviseable to author/create in another application, ie. Word first? Thanks in advance for your advice and concern – normally love the wordpress site/app.

Have you looked in your post revisions to see if the updates are maybe there?
