Lost email account

Hi there,
I’d like to update my email address associated with my account because I can’t access the old one anymore. I have lost my password. I tried to get into it but it doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to get it back.
Unfortunately it looks like, WordPress wants me to log into the old email account to approve the change to the new email account. Which I obviously now can’t do.
I can still log into WordPress no problem. However I now want to export my blog, and it is sending the link to download the files to the old email address that I can’t get into. Is there any way around this?

Hi there,
For what account are you trying to change the email address? If it’s for the account you’re using to post here, you don’t need any access to the old email to do this. As long as you’re able to log into the correct WordPress.com account, you’ll be able to change the email from account settings:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
Once you change the email, a confirmation email will be sent to the new address you specify, and you’ll need to click the link in that email to complete the change.
