Lost Email Subscribers
-
I need help moving my email subscribers from my wordpress.com site to my wordpress.org site. I have seen several support forum threads where members or moderaters were doing this for people. These are all closed to new questions and comments. Can you help me with this as well? Many thanks

Hi there,
We absolutely can get those transferred over for you, but in order for me to do so, I’ll need for you to first install a plugin on your new WordPress.org self-hosted blog.
The JetPack plugin will give your site some additional functionality and will also let us add those followers who you originally had here at WordPress.com. You’ll need to install it here:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/
Then follow the instructions to make sure that you’ve connected it back to us (the process will involve entering your WordPress.com username and password). Once you’ve finished that we’ll be able to migrate those followers!

Thank you! I have Jetpack installed already. Can you confirm that it has been connected back to you? It was installed for me already by the folks who transferred my site over. They had the passwords, etc. If it’s not right, do I deactivate the Jetpack plugin and do it again? Thank you very much!

Heya,
It isn’t actually showing as connected for napsandroadmaps.com. But you are right, what I would need you to do is go ahead and disconnect it and then reconnect it. It should allow a connection to be made. If not, we might have to reinstall it completely.
Sorry for the trouble!

Ok, I just deleted and reinstalled it. I was able to connect it to the wordpress.com account so hopefully we are all set! Just let me know! :)

Hi there,
Yep, that worked great! I’ve completed the migration of your subscribers for you, and you can review them right here:
