Lost Email/Unable to access account

  • Unknown's avatar

I started messing around with wordpress a few weeks ago. I ended up creating a site for our company but I must have had a typo in my email…. so I can’t get a reset password email link to login. I didn’t realize I had done this so when I tried to login a few days later it didn’t recognize my email/login. I thought maybe I didn’t end up making the login in the first place (my short term memory is leaving me….) I made a new login, with my correct email, but now I can’t use my domain sacramentoglassworks.wordpress.com, because it’s saved under the first account…. I made no purchases with either account, so I have none of the ownership identifiers…. How can I fix or recover the first account? Please help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,

Have you looked over the information for account recovery?

    Recover Your Account

Nothing in here helps me. I deleted the activation link from my email. I never entered any other information such as phone number or transaction ID. I need an employee of word press to reset my site. Or rather just take it down so our customer’s aren’t confused by 2 websites for the same copmany

I can add the modlook tag to this post so that staff can attempt to assist. However, if you aren’t able to log in under THAT account to seek assistance, then I’m not sure they can help, either.

Do you know the username and password to the account you set up
    sacramentoglassworks.wordpress.com with?
If you do, then log in and you can check the email address you entered here:
    https://wordpress.com/me/account

The account not being activated won’t prevent you from logging in. It will only prevent you from moving forward with creating new posts.

  • Hi there,

The account recovery form is the only way we can give you access to another account. We cannot change any details on an account for you unless you are able to verify your ownership. We cannot make any exceptions to this.

Is a business license enough proof?

Never mind, disregard the last post. Thank you for your time
