Lost followers

  I recently moved my blog from ‘www.vrushali21.wordpress.com’ to ‘www.vrushalipathak.wordpress.com’ and earlier I had 530+ followers.
  When I checked today, the follower count had decreased to 64.

  Please help. I don’t want my 4 years of blogging go downhill.

  Hi @vrushalipathak, it sounds like you maybe had Facebook / Twitter / other social connections prior to the switch.

  Can you go ahead and reconnect those? That’s through My Site > Marketing > Connections.

  I had other social media followers but I lost my blog followers. The other followers are still present.

  What should I do now?

  Unfortunately, this is a known issue. The followers seem to disappear from the site that just changed its address. You can be sure, however, that these people still follow your site, it’s just the follower’s count that seems to fail to display the correct number.

  We do not have a fix for this issue right now :(
